Rowing For Life Congratulations to Belen Rowing and Treasure Coast Rowing for winning $1,000 each in the mixed adult/children rowing for life event. Both teams will be using their money to support their teams.
This year's Rowing for Life event is dedicated to George Alexandru, coach, rower, friend, who passed away 10 years ago at the young age of 23.

Sarasota Invitational Regatta

The 9th annual Sarasota Invitational Regatta (SIR) which will launch the spring regatta season at the Nathan Benderson Park, site of the 2017 World Rowing Championships will be held February 24 and 25, 2018.

This premier regatta attracts more than 1600 athletes 75 clubs and 3500 spectators from all around the country.

Nathan Benderson Park was built to FISA racing standards. The course specifications include 2,180 meters in length, 630 meters wide and an average of 3 meters deep. There are ten lanes, each 13.5 meters wide, plus as 13.5 meter buffer on each side. There is a wave attenuator the full length of the course on its east side and a full 500x1500 meter warm-up area east of the wave attentuator. A 30-meter wide canal leads from the end of the course around Regatta Island to the recovery docks. A gorgeous venue to race on!
